Be Careful With This Common Mistake or You Won’t Get Your ¥100,000
Hi everyone,
For those of you who already got the application form for the ¥100,000 COVID-19 cash payout from the Japanese government, I would like to give a very important notice.
If you make this mistake, you won’t be able to get the ¥100,000!
So here is the thing:
There is a “□” beside your name (printed), and there is an instruction which translates to
“If you do not wish to receive this subsidy, please check the □.”
- What if you misunderstood that this □ means you are confirming your name?
- What if you accidentally put a check here and sent back the form?
… then you will NOT receive the subsidy.
Please take a look at this sample application form.
*the format may differ per area
The only information you need to write down are:
- Your signature
- Phone number
- Birthdate
- Bank account information
I hope you will be able to receive this subsidy as soon as possible! Check out these other available cash subsidies too:
- ¥500,000 (Tokyo) for small business owners or freelancers (amount differs per prefecture)
- ¥1,000,000 for freelancers

Thank you and have a good day!
